Personally ...
My deep interest in other cultures, other languages and travel has been a gift as I
work in Canada and Australia. Whether in my travels or in organizations, the uniqueness
in each situation is compelling and rewarding.
In my doctoral work, I studied how knowledge is created through the role of talk.
This is a valuable background in designing group processes and in executive coaching.
Knowledge is not inert, factual ‘stuff’. It is created by our own vision of the world,
our values and our commitments. Probing into this personal knowledge and action base is
powerful experience for all of us.

and programs designed for their context. The major foci are: Leadership for Learning Organizations,
Transition Planning and Management, Women In Leadership, Cultural Change, Appraisal Systems and
Mentoring. The projects are long term and ongoing.
Previous Positions
- University of Melbourne - Visiting Scholar
January 1994-December 1994
As Visiting Scholar my mandate was to strengthen the relationship
between the Faculty and the Department of Education of Victoria at a time of major
restructuring in education. I provided leadership in the areas of gender, appraisal
and evaluation, peer appraisal for principals, mentoring, leadership, and the
development of collegiate culture as the system decentralized.
I also undertook a study for the merger of two
departments during economic restraint. This study provided strategies for the new
department as it developed a collaborative culture.

I was invited to design, coordinate and facilitate the Women in Leadership
